| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Excellent clarity of the triplet glass lens (three lenses in a single shell) is a top feature of this quality loupe, but it also has features that will provide convenience and security. If you need a quality 30x loupe for a reasonable price, this is it. If you've never used a loupe of this power, you may wish to know that the viewing distance is very short between the loupe and the eye as well as between the loupe and the object viewed. The center of the loupe is the viewing area.

Great Quality! August 24, 2009 Melinda Bonilla (San Jose, California United States) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
It took me a while to find this eye loupe and I was hesitant to purchase because of the lack of feedback. However, this item was a steal for the price that I paid. It comes in a nice leather case. The eye loupe itself has good weight and the quality is excellent! This is definitely a professional grade eye loupe and I do recommend it.
quality tool October 31, 2009 Bruce Miles (New Jersey, USA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Two months of daily use, several times a day..just keeping a weather eye on fungi.
Great timesaver for me, the loupe acts as a low power microscope in my pocket, so I
don't have to set up the "real" microscope to use it's "low power" [40x] optics.
Hundreds of opening/closing cycles, hinged cover still tight as new. Lens solidly
encased, no wiggling/rattling. Clear glass optics. Leather case was a nice touch.
Can't beat the price for optics in this class.
[If you haven't used a loupe before, keep in mind that it must be VERY close to your
eye. Had folks hand it back to me with a "it don't work" comment. Yes, it does work, Sam..just gotta' get it real close to your eye!]
Great fun to see everyday stuff [like micro critters] 30x larger.
Very Impressed January 8, 2010 Justin Harris (Virginia) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I purchased this after reading the other reviews and noticing how cheap it was. It is truly a spectacular deal! It took a few minutes to realize just how close your eye had to be to it in order to see but after that I have been looking at everything. This Loupe is pretty much a tiny microscope. I can actually use it on my computer screen to see the individual colors that are making up the graphics, not bad! I would highly recommend purchasing one of these *at this price just to have for some random fun*!
Very powerful loupe. September 5, 2009 Barbara Sheppard (Bremerton, WA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This item was received promptly and was exactly as it was described. I believe if had to do it again I would have ordered one not quite so powerful; perhaps a 20 rather than a 30.
Great tool for the inquisitive May 24, 2010 Nameology (Charleston, SC USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this item because I started looking through my old coins for any valuable coins, and sometimes you need to magnify the coin in order to tell if you really have a coin worth money. The optics are great, although I'm still getting used to just how close you need to hold it to the object, but I am slowly getting more and more used to it.
I also have been able to view the edges on my chisel set to see how I need to grind them better.
Like others have stated, it would be nice if there were a light on this item, but for 12 bucks, I'll use a desk lamp instead.
As a little side-note, I used my cell phone camera with this loupe and was able to capture a decent picture of something at magnification. With a little Macgyver-action, I should be able to possibly set up a webcam to use as a handy way to easily look through my coin collection!
I would recommend this product to anyone who is curious about how things look under magnification!
